Believing:
- That there is one God:
- That God created the universe and sustains it;
- That He revealed Himself to us in many ways, supremely through Jesus Christ and through the awareness of His presence as the Holy Spirit, as recorded in the Scriptures.;
- That through His self-sacrificing love He redeemed man and then urges those who respond to him in faith to love one another;
- And that the church is God's chosen instrument to carry out His purpose in the world,
Therefore, we as members of Bilberry Creek Baptist Church covenant:
- To worship God;
- To strive to know and love Him by searching the Scripture which are our final authority for faith and practice;
- To know and do His will in our daily lives;
- To be open to His Fatherly love and to respond to him in child-like trust;
- To share God's love with our fellowman, by witnessing to our faith through preaching and teaching and through many informal opportunities of our daily life, such as:
- Showing interest and concern in their joys and in their sorrows:
- By caring for them in times of hardship;
- And by helping them to respond to God's love through faith in Jesus Christ;
- To uphold the principles of our distinctive Christian heritage;
- To cooperate with Christians from other traditions in the pursuit of peace and justice in the world and in the anticipation of our Christian hope and to exercise individually, as members of the Body of Christ, our various gifts for service, and to support the ministries of the church at home and abroad, financially and in prayer.
